# 2.1 Windows

- Download the appropriate ZIP file according to the HDFql version and architecture of interest from <https://www.hdfql.com/#download>. For instance, if the HDFql version of interest is 1.0.0 and it is to be used on a machine running Windows 32 bit, then the file to download is “HDFql-1.0.0_Windows32.zip”.
- Unzip the downloaded file using Windows Explorer’s built-in capabilities or a free tool such as 7-Zip ([https://www.7-zip.org](https://www.7-zip.org/)).
